The 8x14 Ludwig Supralite is a powerhouse of body and, for lack of a better word, THWACK. Responds surprisingly well at all tuning ranges, but is definitely best suited for that meaty, ballad-y back beat. The shell is 1.5mm steel, the tube lugs are chrome over brass, hoops are triple flanged.
