The pterodactyl was a flying reptile referred to as a "winged lizard." They were lightly built with hallow bones, long curved necks, and small bodies. Pterodactyls had large brains and good eyesight with a wingspan of up to 40 feet long. It was a meat-eating creatures that lived 251-65 million years ago.
