How to use:
To reach a salinity level of 32-35 ‰ (psu), dissolve approximately 35 ml of this sea salt per liter (or about ½ cup per US gallon) of RO/DI water at 73-77°F (23-25°C) while stirring. Always add salt to water to avoid calcium carbonate precipitation. Once nearly all salt is dissolved and the solution is clear, measure specific gravity with a hydrometer and adjust until reaching 1.025 to 1.027 (at 73-77°F). The pH should be between 8.0 and 8.4 for optimal use. After setting up a new aquarium, allow several weeks for biological stabilization under proper circulation and lighting. Regular weekly partial water changes, replacing about 10% of the total volume with this sea salt-prepared seawater, help maintain the water quality essential for the health of your marine livestock. Parameters: Approximate carbonate hardness of 7° KH, calcium around 440 ppm, and magnesium near 1350 ppm.
